One of the latest dinner party favors that guests to my home have been receiving are hand painted, glass olive oil dispensers. They are my latest ‘go to’ favor for the following reasons:
They are beautiful to look at:
The hand painted imagery, whether of olives, grape clusters and vines or the Tuscan countryside, a pleasure to behold. Can’t find a scene that you like? Ask to see if the artist will design one specially for you.
I typically attached a small, signed gift tag to the neck of each Olive Oil Dispenser bottle with a ribbon that is a complimentary color to the painting on the olive oil dispenser. Either I set them at the place setting for each guest (or between a couple) or give them to guests as they leave.
No two Olive Oil Dispensers are exactly alike:
Although the bottles look similar to one another, because they are hand painted no two are exactly alike. Therefore you are giving all the guests at your party an original piece of art.
They can be signed by the artist:
To further the point above – have the artist hand sign them. Or, if you would prefer, ask the artist to sign your name(s) on each to make it a very personalized gift to your guests.
They are practical:
An Olive Oil Dispenser is a gift that they will actually use. And take pleasure in using.
